THE DAWN OF A NEW

One Heritage, One Language, One People
Ugbajo means a gathering. It is a shortened form of the word Ugba-ara-jo which literally means gathering bodies (people) together. Ugbajo Itsekiri, therefore refers to a gathering of Itsekri people. Ugbajo Itsekiri is dedicated to the promotion of Itsekiri unity, progress and strength, and to the protection and support of Itsekiri culture, custom and heritage among Itsekiri in the US and abroad. Ugbajo Itsekiri wants to spread our message of hope and compassion. We believe that a single action can make a difference in the community, and that collective action can greatly impact the world. Through advocacy and outreach activities, our team works tirelessly each day to contribute their part to the greater good.
